Would you like to have air conditioning
installed?

What types are there?

When installing air conditioning, you can choose between three different types of setups: monoblock air conditioning, single-split air conditioning, and multi-split air conditioning.

Each type has its own advantages and is suitable for different situations and housing types.

Monoblock air conditioning

With monoblock air conditioning, the entire setup is installed in 1 unit on the inside of the house.

The advantage of these units is that there is no separate outdoor unit on the facade. This can be a very interesting option if you have a protected facade or if you choose not to install an outdoor unit for aesthetic or practical reasons. The installation and maintenance of these systems are not very invasive.

Single-split air conditioning

With single-split air conditioning, an indoor module with air diffuser is used, and a separate heat pump air conditioning module is installed on the outside of the house. With single-split, 1 outdoor unit is placed to which 1 indoor unit is connected.

Finally, with multi-split air conditioning, multiple separate indoor modules and 1 heat pump air conditioning module are used on the outside of the house.

Multi-split

With multi-split, the total capacity and the distance to the outdoor unit are calculated in order to arrive at the ideal heat pump that serves as the basis for various self-operating indoor modules.

This is the setup that is almost always used in hotels, office buildings, and other large buildings.

Why install monoblock air conditioning?

Our approach combines professional knowledge with careful execution, so that every step contributes to a lasting result.

Newest systems: monoblock

Monoblock air conditioning used to have disadvantages compared to split models. However, with the latest generations of systems, an evolution has been made that ensures that monoblock air conditioners are equivalent or sometimes even better than split systems for the same spaces in terms of operating noise, efficiency and cooling capacity.

The big advantage of monoblock air conditioning is that your installation can be carried out much more aesthetically and is also much less invasive in both installation and maintenance. This ensures that both during installation and during use and maintenance, the monoblock systems are more advantageous than split systems.

Advantages of a monoblock system

In addition, there are also situations in which a split model is not permitted, such as with protected facades or apartments, or situations in which the placement of a split module would be far too cumbersome (cooling pipes via cable ducts or breakout ceiling, etc.).

Many possibilities, options and cooling capacities exist for monoblock air conditioners. Aquavent is your specialized installer for every type of monoblock system and can present you with the correct monoblock air conditioning for your space.

Target prices for monoblock air conditioning

The price of installing a monoblock air conditioner naturally depends on which module and functionalities you choose. For example, you can opt for monoblock with or without a WiFi function, systems with an inverter heat pump or an ON-OFF system, etc. Depending on the choice and the required cooling capacity, we will suggest the best device for you. For a correct installation you should count on a minimum of €1,750, but this can also be up to double depending on the chosen model and design.

Good air conditioning should first and foremost be comfortable and easy to use. That is a personal choice for every customer. Aquavent is happy to present all the possibilities so that you can make the best choice.

Most people expect air conditioning to be expensive in terms of installation and use. However, the latest generation of monoblock systems is designed to minimize electrical costs. The systems that Aquavent installs always work on the principle of an air-to-air heat pump. By compressing and decompressing air conditioning gas, great energy efficiency is achieved, which translates into economical operation.

For 3 KW cooling capacity/heating capacity, only 1 KW of electrical power is required. With inverter compressors, the flow rate and cooling capacity are also adjusted to the changing temperature, which ensures an efficiency that is even higher. The time when air conditioning was a drain on the energy bill is therefore behind us.

Monoblock vs mobile

A system with mobile air conditioning can be very practical for small spaces or for cooling spaces in the cooler zones. However, mobile air conditioners remain very limited in terms of cooling capacity, are usually very inefficient, and moreover, it is not always easy to efficiently get the discharged heat outside without getting heat back in.

A mobile system requires a hose for air discharge that must be placed through a window or through a hole in the wall. This way you get a large part of the heat back inside instead of outside. The cost of repairing the walls to a new condition is very dependent on the situation.

To estimate this, expertise and an on-site assessment are really needed. Aquavent also offers you the possibility to carry out certain preparations or finishes yourself in order to keep prices down. This can be useful for the better do-it-yourselfer.

Comfortable use

If you have a placement with a hole in the wall carried out, it only has disadvantages compared to a monoblock module. After all, the system cannot be moved, consumes at least twice as much as a system with a heat pump, makes more noise than a damped monoblock system and you will also have to empty the condensate drain regularly yourself because there is no automatic condensate drain.

So if you want a system that is comfortable to use with sufficient cooling capacity and economical consumption, then choose a monoblock system immediately.
