How do you recognize mold problems?
Rising damp is often recognized by visible damage, such as curling wallpaper, saltpetre that pushes the paint outwards, or loose plaster and skirting boards. Do you hear the finishing layers sounding hollow? Then you are probably dealing with rising damp.

Our approach to molds
Mold problems are mainly related to a saturated indoor climate. The correct solution is therefore to provide sufficient ventilation in the rooms where the saturation occurs and which are therefore the basis of the mold formation.
Different types of ventilation exist for different rooms.
Aquavent installs every type of ventilation system (central, decentralized) and is therefore your ideal expert to propose a correct ventilation solution tailored to your home.
In certain extreme cases, mold formation can also be caused by the presence of extreme cold bridges. In that case, extra insulation is the only correct solution to solve a condensation problem. Aquavent can also help you with this and propose a correct total solution.
How is mold removed?
You can usually remove mold in the house with anti-fungal components diluted with water if the problem is superficial. Think of bleach/chlorine or ammonia in combination with warm water.
You let the mixture soak into the wall and then remove the mold from the surface with a kitchen sponge. In the case of deeper mold formation, it may still be necessary to work with an anti-fungal product such as fungicide.
In that case, it is best to call in Aquavent because these products can be quite aggressive and you can only use them with appropriate protection. Once the molds have been removed and the cause has been correctly addressed (insulation/ventilation), the molds will not return.
